Maintaining EQAS Services during COVID 19 Situation

Updated: Feb 18, 2021

At EQAS, we are fully aware of community and industry concerns about COVID-19, and the impact this outbreak is having on business. We want to be able to continue to meet our customers’ service requirements over coming months while taking a proportional approach to risk.

Workplace Precautions

Firstly, we need to take care of our consultants, auditors, and your own people, so we’d appreciate if you could help us by taking a few sensible precautions. Like our own staff, we’d expect no person is at your workplace if they are unwell, or have travelled overseas in the last two weeks in which case should be in quarantine, or if they or any of their family members have been in contact with anyone else in such a situation.

Our staff are following government health advice about hand washing, handshakes and avoiding proximity to anyone who appears unwell, and so on, so it’s expected you are reminding people in your workplaces of these measures.

Remote Consulting

Much of EQAS consulting work is already remote. While face to face on-site meetings have obvious advantages, many of our existing clients are successfully supported remotely, whether its documentation development, implementation assistance, or system compliance maintenance. We are already using email, phone conference, and screen share technology, plus some of our clients give us on-line access to their management systems and records via software platform portals that enable us to check and monitor their progress on action plans, audits, meetings, and incident follow-up review.

Be assured that our consulting service will clearly remain in place whether we can visit your premises or not, and should also not be compromised to avoid effecting your business operations – it may even provide new opportunities for efficiency!

EQAS will therefore continue to work with all our clients as usual while practicing the precautions in line with community expectations. With all of the business community, we’ll continue to closely monitor the situation, government advice and the varying approaches being taken by different organisations and individuals in our service area.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
